Construction year unknown. This cabin was originally situated on Cache Lake where it was a private cottage. It was moved to Rain Lake in the 1970's and was used as a permit office until the mid-1990's. It is now part of the Ranger Cabin program and is available for rent. This cabin has a gas fridge, stove, lamps and heat. Due to the extra features and the composting toilets located on site, this is another cabin suitable for families looking to get into Algonquin's interior without sacrificing some of the luxuries.
